Amritapuri is the main ashram of the spiritual teacher Mata Amritanandamayi, on a thin strip of land between the Kerala backwaters and the sea. Visitors live in simple shared rooms and join a full day of meditation, devotional singing and seva, with Amma giving darshan when she is in residence.
