How we research a retreat

• Every listing starts from the retreat's official website, plus public sources such as its programme calendar and booking pages.
• We record what the retreat publishes: programmes and their lengths, the minimum stay, best months, how you book, and house rules on arrival days, couples, phones, food and taxes.
• If a retreat doesn't say something, we mark it unknown. We don't guess.
• Prices are “starts from” prices from the official site, with the month we checked them (most recently October 2026). When a retreat publishes no price, we say so, or name the third-party site a price came from.
• We sort every retreat into a price band per person, per night: Under ₹3,000; ₹3,000–10,000; ₹10,000–25,000; ₹25,000+. Bands are a guide, not a quote.
• Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash, with credits on each page. 125 of 181 listings have photos of the place itself; the rest show the region and are labelled “illustrative”.

Independent, and free to use

• We don't take bookings, commissions or payment for listings or placement. You book directly with the retreat, and we add no fees.
• “Visit official site” links go straight to the retreat. We count those clicks per retreat, without storing who you are, so we know which listings help people.
• Retreat teams can claim their listing to correct facts and answer questions as the official team. They can't buy a better position or change reviews.

Our honesty rules

• No paid, incentivised or fake reviews. Reviews must come from people who stayed, and owners and staff can't review their own retreat or competitors.
• We don't remove a review because it's negative, only when it breaks the community guidelines.
• Star ratings appear only once a retreat has at least 3 reviews from our community. We never import ratings from other sites.
• No medical claims. We describe Ayurveda, naturopathy and Panchakarma programmes as the retreats publish them. Nothing here is medical advice; talk to your own doctor first.
• Prices are indicative and change. Always confirm dates, prices and policies with the retreat before you pay.
• No made-up urgency: no “only 2 rooms left”, no countdowns.
