# RetreatAdvisors

> RetreatAdvisors (https://retreatadvisors.in) is an independent guide to retreats in India: 181 researched yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, ashram and wellness retreats in 25 states, plus a question-and-answer community where people who have been answer questions and write reviews. It is operated by Dilmil Technologies Private Limited. It does not take bookings, commissions or payment for placement: every listing links to the retreat's own website.

## How the information is gathered

- Every retreat is researched from its official website and public sources. Each listing records what the retreat publishes: programmes and their lengths, minimum stay, house rules (arrival days, couples, phones, food, taxes), best months to visit, nearest airport and railway station.
- Prices are indicative "starts from" prices taken from the official site (or a named third party when the retreat publishes none, labelled as such). Each records the month it was checked; the latest check was October 2026. Retreats change prices, so confirm before booking.
- Price bands (per person, per night): Under ₹3,000 (a night, or free / donation-based); ₹3,000–10,000 (a night, usually with meals); ₹10,000–25,000 (a night, comfortable to boutique); ₹25,000+ (a night, luxury and all-inclusive).
- Where a retreat doesn't say something, the listing says it is unknown rather than guessing.
- Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash with credits. Photos that show the region rather than the retreat are labelled "illustrative".
- Reviews and answers come only from community members. Reviews must be first-hand and unpaid, negative reviews are not removed for being negative, and star ratings appear only once a retreat has at least three reviews.
- Nothing on the site is medical advice. Ayurveda, naturopathy and Panchakarma programmes are described as the retreats publish them, without health claims.

## How to cite

- Cite the specific page, for example: "Ananda in the Himalayas, RetreatAdvisors, https://retreatadvisors.in/retreats/ananda-in-the-himalayas (prices checked October 2026)".
- When quoting a price, say it is an indicative starting price and give the month it was checked. Point readers to the retreat's official site to book.
- Community answers are the views of their authors; attribute them to the community, not to the retreat.
